Quality Technician - Night Shift (Temp to Hire)

Join a fanstastic team and work in a great location in Cheektowaga, NY! We are in need of a Temp-to-Hire Employee to work as our Quality Lab Technician. This role is on the night shift covering part of 2nd shift and part of 3rd shfit. We offer competitive pay, generous shift differential, newly air-conditioned plant, and a great team environment.

Rate: $20 - $22 / hour depending on experience plus shift differential.

Schedule: 7PM to 3AM Monday through Thursday and Friday 3PM to 11PM OR 7PM to 5AM Monday through Thursday (4 10-hour days)

Training: A minimum of 4 - 6 weeks is required on 1st shift to train before reporting to the night shift.

Job Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for in-process inspection and testing quality verification.

• Ensures all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Documents. samples and quarantines non-conforming material and maintains other sample requirements as defined.
• Follows all safety policies and quality procedures.
• Conducts in-process inspections and tests verification for Quality, and Food Packaging Safety requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Associates degree is preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
• Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior 2 years quality lab experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail is required for this role.
• Strong basic math skills and be able to read a ruler and make measurements.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude.
• Must be well organized.
• Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site.
