Basic Job Functions: The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for driving our quality strategy to achieve "world-class" standards by involving leadership from all departments. This role requires effective verbal and written communication, leading quality meetings, and strengthening builder partnerships.

The Quality Control Supervisor will:

Serve as a resource for the quality team, establish expectations, develop best practices, and ensure consistency.

Lead the growth and development of the quality team by fostering a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork, while prioritizing the safety of all teammates.

Encourage the quality team to respond quickly to claims, minimizing cost impacts for our customers and NIPG.

Participate in problem-solving by collaborating with teammates across departments and customers to initiate the solution to the issue being faced at the jobsite. This involves reviewing file information, shop drawings, and erection drawings as needed, and may include proactive site visits.

Be closely involved in back charge negotiations and guide the quality team to find mutually agreeable solutions to the problems our customers are facing.

Identify trends and recommend solutions.

Track metrics critical to the success of our quality program and share them with the leadership team.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Leadership in a manufacturing environment.

High School Diploma or GED.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Excel.

Experience with audits.

Ability to travel on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing and maintaining a Quality Manual.

Experience with external agency audits.

Experience with instrument calibrations, record keeping and document control.
