Key job responsibilities Work with Amazon's Global Trade Services team to build and manage a scalable end-to-end global import compliance program Work with Amazon's Global Trade Services to execute strategy, drive and enforce global import/export processes, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies Provide high judgment and subject matter expertise on US and non-US export control and Customs regulations Develop and maintain import/export compliance work instructions, policies and procedures, and processes Drive innovative solutions and create requirements to further enhance and automate compliance for different types of imports and exports Apply US & non-US export control regulations and drive continuous improvements Create metrics for management reporting Own leadership communications to stakeholder teams and executive leadership Customs brokerage management and escalations A day in the life The successful candidate will help drive the import/customs compliance program for Prime Air and be an innovative compliance leader experienced in diving deep into complex areas of import/export. Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team!Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of direct experience with import/customs compliance in an aerospace, technology or electronics related industry as well as export compliance Successfully designs and builds mechanisms to improve efficiency, reduce compliance risk and drive growth at scale Ability to use data to assess risk and impact and analyze trade-offsPreferred Qualifications MBA Degree, Advanced Degree or US Customs Brokerage License are a plus, but are not required Experience driving worldwide, cross-functional, end to end projects independently Consistently demonstrates sound judgment and takes action even in highly ambiguous situations Delivers clear, concise updates in meetings and in documents to stakeholders Subject matter expertise in classification, valuation, country of origin, special trade programs and export controls Strong attention to detail, and the ability to self-start and self-motivate Experience in working with technology and automation to develop innovative solutions Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
