About Us

Cleaveland/Price specializes in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnect switches and switch automation products. The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications.

All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing.

Your Goal

The Quality Assurance Specialist at Cleaveland/Price plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality

excellence by collaborating with leadership and employees to enforce adherence to quality standards

and documentation across all organizational functions. This position is responsible for developing and

implementing standardized quality policies, processes, and procedures, while also overseeing training

initiatives to ensure competency within job roles. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Specialist

maintains and enhances the Quality Management System and leads the corrective action program to

continuously improve product quality and operational efficiency. Through proactive education, training,

and accountability measures, this role contributes to the consistent delivery of high-quality products and

services, aligning with Cleaveland/Price's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Your Responsibilities

  • Communicates all quality standards, programs and procedures to the company and its employees.
  • Prepares quality plans, risk management plans, and/or other quality-related deliverables.
  • Contributes to preparing quality policies and procedures for all areas of the business.
  • Assists with the development and delivery of quality training programs and procedures.
  • Conducts and resolves internal quality audits of the various departments of the company.
  • Supports production work areas by identifying potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists with root cause investigations of product and process non-conformities.
  • Facilitates in the development of inspection/testing data collection system.
  • Maintains equipment calibration data collection system.
  • Evaluates risk and consequence of planned and unplanned deviations; recommends course of action.
  • Coordinates CAPA projects where needed in response to root cause findings.
  • Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
  • Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience/certification.
  • Established proficiency in mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO Standards and quality control procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to comprehend and reference a range of electrical/electronic/mechanical products/processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
  • Top notch interpersonal skills that fosters collaboration, teamwork and leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Competency with Quality Management Systems or related systems/software.

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25lbs. of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects that are 10lbs.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
  • Occasional requirement to drive (vehicles as well as fork trucks, cherry pickers, and high lifts etc.)
  • Requires concentration, accuracy, and focused mental effort while multi-tasking in a team environment.
  • Ability to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE).
