Reporting and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for promoting and improving the quality of the product to the customer while providing effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to the Management Team, customers, and Flex employees.

Additional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Administrator of quality program and serves as the management representative.
  • Ensure all production statistics including input and output figures are timely recorded in ERP system.
  • Drives continuous improvements.
  • Directs resolution to quality problems; direct customer contact.
  • Resolves supplier performance issues.
  • Manages Quality Assurance associates to include the Document Control Coordinator and Quality Technicians
  • Responsible for internal and supplier quality audits.
  • Use analytical tools to ensure overall quality of film product.
  • Implements standards required by FDA, AIB, and ISO 9001.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related study required
  • 5 years Quality Assurance experience; film, lamination, or packaging industry strongly preferred
  • Preference in Plastics, Polymers, Inks, Coatings, Paints, Adhesives, or Printing industries
  • Must be able to use analytical measurement tools including SPC
  • ISO, AIB, FDA exposure preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel when required
