Problem-solving, root cause and corrective action skills are a must. Must have great communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Auditing experience is essential with focus on manufacturing processes and improvement plans. The appropriate individual will have statistical knowledge and be able to collect, analyze, and make data driven decisions in a timely manner. Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate Company: PQ Corporation Location: Kingman, AZ Description: Potters Industries Quality Assurance Associate – Kingman, AZ Potters Industries, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of PQ Corporation, is a leading producer of engineered glass materials serving the highway safety, polymer additive, metal finishing, and conductive particle markets. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Associate perform and oversee established testing on samples and conduct audits to assure that materials meet intended product specifications. Job Duties: ·        Sample production lots/batches and certify that material meets intended   product specification.      ·        Perform a variety of established test procedures to measure physical characteristics of finished product.  These tests may include, but are not limited to, roundness, gradation, coating performances and index refraction.·        Will utilize a variety of testing equipment, including but not limited to, microfiche, round-o-meter, sieves, x-ray diffraction and microscope.·        Maintain and manage calibration of test equipment.  Ensure that appropriate test equipment is certified by outside agencies per various requirements.·        Will maintain the established QMS/EMS quality systems and work closely with production and product warehousing for inventory control.·        Conduct audits of quality measures and procedures.·        Identify off-spec production and ensure that such material is quarantined and/or reworked. ·        Will aid in customer product issue inquiries by investigating root causes and necessary corrective actions.·        Certify or approve all material that ships from the facility.·        Will operate in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.  Job Requirements: ·        Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Post high school education desired.  ·        Must have some experience working in a manufacturing plant environment. ·        Must be fluent in basic lab procedures, safety requirements and QMS/EMS standards.·        Must demonstrate good math, reading and communication skills.·        Computer skills in Microsoft Office preferred.·        Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.  ·        Must be able to work shifts at first. Excellent starting wage and benefits.  An EOE M/F/H/V.
