Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer Company: Phoenix Staff, Inc. Location: Las Vegas, NV Description: An internationally acclaimed hotel and casino in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experience Quality Assurance Engineer to join their IT team. This individual is primarily responsible for ensuring project quality goals are achieved and business objectives are supported through test planning, execution and implementation.Responsibilities:* Document and understand new business requirements and operational changes* Develop test plans outlining the test types necessary, the scope (test case and test data) and testing requirements (environment and application)* Facilitate test case reviews to ensure complete and realistic scenarios for testing* Define and coordinate completion of testing requirements* Execute different types of testing, including smoke, functional, regression and operational* Report bugs, track defects, recommend corrective action and resolve issues with software developers* Generate test completion reports detailing project testing activities, issues and defects encountered and test resultsSkills/Qualifications:* Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus; MBA degree or equivalent related project management experience is desired* A minimum of 2 years on QA Methodology and software quality assurance, in a development and vendor maintained applications environment* Previous experience with Opera Suite, Micros POS and Infogenesis* LoadRunner and Quality Center experience a plus* Solid understanding of the software development and test process, including test requirement gathering, analysis, design, development and QA tools and technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management* Ability to execute QA engineering efforts on multiple projects including completion of testing tasks, work with project managers and report status for the teamIf you are interested in this position or would like to see more of the opportunities available with Phoenix Staff, please visit us online at http://www.phoenixstaff.com.
