Responsibilities The IT Security and Quality Assurance (QA) Manager defines and implements IT security and quality assurance practices and procedures.  This position manages a group of security and QA analysts who test, evaluate and validate IT initiatives and identify issues in the IT network/enterprise and software or services.  The position analyzes discrepancies in service and/or performance and makes recommendations for product and/or service updates as well as compliance with IT standards, processes and risk management. The IT Security and QA Manager understands security, threat analysis, risk mitigation and vulnerability management.  The position understands software quality best practices, test strategy and planning, test case development, test case deployment and execution, test data, defect tracking, performance testing and test automation; actively participates in process improvements.  The position reviews test plan requirements of simple to high complexity and develops an automation strategy for them.  In addition, the position manages IT Security and QA teams providing leadership, planning and organization. Scope The IT Security and QA Manager will be a lead for all ongoing projects and deliverables with a focus on continuous improvement, process initiatives, data analysis, integration of IT Security and QA with service desk methodology, and simplification.  This person will report to Director, IT Global Initiatives and Continuous Improvement. Major Duties and Responsibilities *  Deliver all testing projects and operations within the portfolio of applications in multiple development teams. *  Partner with Development and Application Managers on integrating QA into the overall processes. *  Collaborate with Development and Application Teams to drive testing process standardization, adoption and improvement. *  Identify and implement QA process and tool improvements that lead to increased workplace productivity. *  Plan and implement security and QA changes, release and configuration management practices. *  Review and approve test strategy and test plans for various testing engagements. *  Review compliance and delivery metrics that measure the benefits and track the quality of services delivered. *  Deliver all IT Security projects and operations on time and on budget. *  Coordinate work across multiple teams to develop, update and implement contingencies to meet changing project or service needs. *  Ensure that the appropriate test infrastructure and tools for project teams are delivered. *  Partner with Compliance, IT Audit and IT Infrastructure Teams to integrate IT Security processes, standards and improvements. *  Establish standard operating procedures, metrics and tracking and integrate into service desk methodology. *  Implement continuous improvement methodology, technical analysis, process analysis, root cause analysis and remediation. *  Define and maintain the project plan, schedule and timeline for the various deliverables. *  Analyze and report security vulnerabilities and risk mitigation, project tracking and product release readiness. *  Understand and perform risk mitigation to meet deadlines. *  Provide IT infrastructure and application enhancement recommendations based on data analysis. Qualifications The successful candidate will have excellent leadership, technical expertise and communication skills.  The individual must possess a strong knowledge of IT principles, techniques and technologies and various continuous improvement methodologies, principles and best practices. Specific qualifications include: *  7+ years in IT infrastructure, security, service desk, process improvement, software application development and/or testing experience. *  7+ years experience in team leadership. *  Experience managing diverse teams of internal and external resources. *  Experience in producing operating procedures, program level metrics and service level performance. *  Experience with change, release and configuration management as it applies to IT infrastructure, application deployment, and IT project management. *  Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high-productivity environment while maintaining excellent working relationships with people in a wide variety of functional areas. *  Strong team leadership and management skills. *  Strong multi-tasking and analytical/troubleshooting skills. *  Ability to perform business analysis, technical analysis, process analysis, root cause analysis and remediation. *  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. *  Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively. *  Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. *  Experience in service desk and ITIL methodology. *  Experience in continuous improvement and Six Sigma/Lean.
