Onshore and offshore resources working in this area will report directly to you.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*Requires thorough technical and operational knowledge within the QA area of responsibility with specific responsibilities for leadership and supervision of design, development and implementation of test strategies and tools.*Responsible for developing QA work plans, establishing technical objectives, resource ramp-up/ramp-down decisions, resource allocation, assigning tasks, and managing groups/teams.*Maintains schedules and coordinates activities of an entire group or team. Providing Level of Effort, Test Environment requirements, identify resource/skills and test schedule.*Monitors the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensures that technical and functional objectives are met.*Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs and technical knowledge.*Develops solutions to difficult problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity, communicates progress toward project/program goals.*Coordinates activities with overall development team, administers the testing problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution.*Identifies and recommends changes to established practices and policies.*Manages the selection, development and retention of proactive, technically strong service oriented staff.Extensive managerial experience within the quality assurance / testing arena; demonstrated skills in quality assurance methods/processes and practices including but not limited to:*Proven ability to conduct accurate needs analysis, solve problems, assess technical capabilities, conduct strategic planning, build and motivate teams, and manage Software Testing projects.*Minimum five years of relevant IT/quality management work experience.*Solid understanding of project management principles.*Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and specifically QA process and test methodologies.*Previous experience of test automation design and implementation or managing such effort from concept to completion is a must.*Ability to work well in a matrixed organization.*Exposure to automated test tools such as Quality Center, Quick Test Pro and alternative automation frameworks.*Excellent Project Co-ordination and Project tracking skills.*Excellent Time management skills and organizational skills.*Effective verbal and written communication skills.*Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.*Ability to develop the skill sets of staff.*Experience in managing Onsite-Offshore model team.*Experience of Credit Card industry a plus.*Project Management Certification will be a big plus.* A technical 4-year degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering or equivalent is preferedbut can be substituted for substantial test engineering experience.
