Our client located in Houston, TX has an immediate need for a QA Analyst (8 week contract).The QA Analyst is a member of the QA team which completes Integration and System level software testing. They create and execute test cases and regression test software in order to discover defects. This individual must possess a strong knowledge of testing processes and be able to adapt these to an Agile/Scrum Model. The QA Analyst will initiate and complete all aspects of testing to include but not limited to the following:? Perform manual testing of new releases for web based mortgage industry software applications. Perform Integration Testing between application and external application/data sources? Review functional and technical documentation in order to identify requirements for the creation of test plans, test cases and test scripts. Conduct test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality ? Create, modify and execute manual test cases to business requirements for new application functionality? Identify/work with development on the creation of test data needed for test execution? Analyze testing results, report defects, identify and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team? Submit, track and validate defects in company*s tracking system? Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems? Work with deployment team participating in after-hours deployments and quality assurance testing efforts to test production environment updates before they are distributed? Collaborate with team members to research and recommend new web site features? Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes? Provide regular status reports to QA Lead and project management, updating tasks and tasks estimates, as necessary.
