Today, the NCDR is the most comprehensive, outcomes-based quality improvement program in the United States, encompassing five hospital-based registries and a practice-based program. These programs/registries are supported by 3rd party software vendors who build NCDR-certified software as data collection and transmission mechanisms. The Vendor Integration Specialist will work with commercial software vendors to ensure their software/programs meet NCDR business requirements. The Vendor Integration Specialist will test vendor software, identify the best methods to streamline the certification process, and develop new methods for exchanging cardiology data that meet the needs of participating hospitals and emerging standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented person with the ability to manage small overlapping projects. Some of the key tasks for this position include: 1. Developing standardized testing scripts and documentation necessary to ensure 3rd party commercial software vendors meet established NCDR requirements. 2. Work with software vendors and independent hospital systems to map NCDR data elements to existing EHR systems.
