Job Title: Catastrophe Quality Assurance Administrator Job #: 8068 Locations: Madison, WI Westerville, OHIndianapolis, INPeoria, ILChicago, ILSt Louis, MOOmaha, NETopeka, KSWichita, KSEden Prairie, MNW Des Moines, IA Job Classification: Full-Time Relocation Assistance: Yes Position Objective Performs as the catastrophe (CAT) claim and quality expert by utilizing strong claim expertise, as well as knowledge and skills related to quality methodologies, concepts and tools. Determines compliance with corporate and Claim Division procedures and policies. Reviews and audits catastrophe claims files and performs field re-inspections at catastrophe sites to evaluate the quality of claim handling. Analyzes data and develops reports to identify training and procedural needs. Will interact with the customer as needed during the re-inspection process. Education/Licenses/Designations There are no education, licenses or designations defined for this position. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements Demonstrated understanding of property, casualty physical damage and/or Commercial Farm/Ranch policy language, coverages and underwriting intent. Experience in handling moderate to complex claims. Knowledge of insurance/claim industry and regulatory environment. Understands the primary business functions of a Catastrophe Division and how to interface with I/S, Claims Administration, Office Administration, and Human Resources. Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record. Working knowledge of the claims operation with emphasis on damage estimation and settlement techniques. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to climb or balance between 1 and 33% of the time. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds between 1 and 33% of the time. This position requires the ability to stand, walk and/or sit between 66 and 100% of the time. This position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl between 1 and 33% of the time. This position requires the ability to work with color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for extended periods of time. Travel Requirements Must be willing to travel for Catastrophe duty if necessary. This position requires travel up to 75% of the time. Working Conditions This position requires the ability to work in high, precarious places between 1 and 33% of the time. This position requires the ability to work with exposure to outside weather conditions between 1 and 33% of the time.
