******************SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED***************************** Position: Quality Control Specialist Description: Responsible for the execution and maintenance of the Team MPRI Quality Management System (QMS). Responsible for conducting reviews and analyses of Team MPRI processes/systems in support of DSCP 3PL, and making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency of those processes/systems, with particular emphasis on logistical operations and accountability procedures. Plan and coordinate activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards. Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Conduct/oversee the conduct of required inspections, testing and evaluations. Ensure Team MPRI responsibilities are being carried out according to contract performance standards and applicable policies and procedures. Duties: - Maintain and manage the document control of the Team MPRI Quality Management System - Establish procedures to ensure comprehensive and objective quality reviews are conducted in professional and timely fashion - Collect, analyze, and oversee data on relevant quality performance indicators - Continuously monitor, review and evaluate processes, procedures, methodologies and tools used throughout the life cycle of the Team MPRI 3PL operation - Develop and manage audit schedule - Maintain evaluation completion matrix to ensure all tasks/areas are audited within a reasonable amount of time - Provide corrective/preventive actions to Project Lead on methods to streamline/improve operations or eliminate problem areas - Work with, and provide support to warehouse staff and VVMs to improve the way business is conducted - Prepare and present clear, concise and comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations and submit in timely fashion - Maintain and manage the “master” matrix of quality records—delegate responsibility of maintaining quality records to section supervisors, train them to do so, and monitor their performance in this area - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: - Associates degree in logistics/materiel management or related field and Military training/education in warehousing, logistics, and supply. - ISO 9001 certified - Minimum 5 years (10 years preferred) experience in quality assurance and control management procedures - Strong working knowledge of DOD and Army logistics and accountability regulations - 5 years experience in automated material/inventory management - Military service experience - Possess current US passport - Ability and willingness to travel on a regular and short-notice basis - Analyze and effectively coordinate multiple aspects of concurrent operations - Remain flexible and operate effectively and efficiently in a continuously changing environment - Effectively communicate with military and DOD personnel - Proficient in MS Office applications and automated material management systems CLEARANCE REQUIRED: SECRET We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
