This is an exciting position accountable for support of laboratory equipment in accordance with appropriate regulatory, corporate and scientific guidelines. The successful candidate will assist in managing and maintaining all laboratory equipment throughout the equipment life cycle. The ability to function in a fast-paced, highly technical environment, and communicate effectively is essential to success. General Summary: Maintains communication within the lab services group so that all equipment is validated/calibrated within the required timelines. Interacts with equipment manufacturers during routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoots activities and makes sure equipment logbooks are documented accurately as per SOP. Conducts preventive maintenance activities for applicable equipment. Checks all equipment periodically for calibration tags and notifies supervisor in the event information is illegible or incorrect. Ensures all scheduled equipment cleanings are performed per approved procedures. Reviews all equipment logs on assigned frequency. Participates in equipment Exception Report initiation and closure for any out-of-tolerance/out-of-specification conditions. Ensures Equipment History Files are accurately maintained for the life cycle of the equipment. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a cGMP Quality Control department in a FDA regulated industry (drugs/biologics). Knowledge of cGMP/ICH/FDA regulations. Experience with laboratory equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance are preferred. Proficient in MS Office Applications.
