Job Title: Quality Control Technician Company: Bemis Company  Location: Omaha, NE Description: Quality Control Technician Bemis Company, Inc., is the largest flexible packaging company in the Americas and a major manufacturer of pressure sensitive materials used for labels, decoration and signage. Bemis is a 152 year old Company, with a 122 year history in Omaha.  Bemis’ Paper Packaging Division is searching for a Quality Control Technician for its Omaha plant.  Essential Functions: · Performs material testing, process inspection and material disposition activities. · Obtains and keeps sample retains. · Performs quality checks utilizing AQL or C= 0 sampling plans or as required by individual Customer order specifications. · Applies statistical (SPC) and non-statistical methods to improve quality. · Conducts and accurately documents quality test results. · Performs COA/COC testing for requiring customers. · Inspects returned goods and reports findings. · Completes QC testing of all trial orders. · Composes, conducts and leads training for existing and new employees on Quality Operations and Company/Customer requirements as needed. · Supports and administers 8D, Non-Conformance, and other quality related reports. · Maintains gage calibrations, receipt and issue of new gages. · Communicates information both internally and externally as it relates to quality. Requirements: · Associates degree in Natural Sciences or related field preferred. Course work must include exposure to college level mathematics, and natural and/or physical sciences.  · Two (2) years work experience in the Quality field will be accepted in lieu of degree requirements.    · Technical training in quality related areas such as data analysis, statistical process control, auditing, the ISO 9000 standard and use of statistical software such as Minitab is desirable.  · Certification as a Quality Technician (CQT) is a plus.  In order to be considered, all education and minimum requirements must be met. Qualified applicants please click the "apply for" button and submit your cover letter and resume.  Modify / Close Posting
