OverviewThe primary purpose of this position is to perform mid-level laboratory and support procedures for the testing of veterinary biologicals according to strict government and company imposed guidelines. Must be able to evaluate and perform this testing in the assigned areas and perform routine Quality Control procedures. This position requires an understanding of the principles underlying the testing procedures used in the area of assignment. A Laboratory Technician in the QC environment is required to enter test results in the Quality Control Tracking System. Report all unusual, non-routine occurrences when performing tasks to QC Manager/Supervisor which also includes completing the necessary documentation. The incumbent must have the ability to write, revise, and update SOPs for testing performed in the area(s) of assignment.Qualifications 1. Minimum of a High School diploma or GED with 2-3 years relevant work experience, but prefer a Bachelor degree in a related field with no experience, or a non-related Bachelor degree with some relevant experience, or an Associate degree in a related field with 2 or more years experience. 2. Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures required. 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 4. Follow oral and written instructions. 5. Good mathematic and writing skills. 6.
