Duties and Responsibilities
Performs quality measurements/assessments necessary to maintain regulatory compliance.
Performs preventative maintenance, periodic inspections and testing for proper equipment operation.
Training at Hematology workstations.
Validates processing and testing methodologies.
Assists in processing technician proficiency testing.
Engages in Research and Development under Senior Technician or Supervisor guidance.
Assists in external /internal audit preparations.
Performs calibration and validation/verification of equipment.
Maintains quality records, forms, work orders and QC notebook/binders.
Assists with writing and revising operating procedures.
Provides administrative support; copying, filing and archiving records.
Follows all laboratory safety and blood borne pathogen procedures.
Handles LN2 , utilizing personal protective equipment and good safety practices.
Prepares solutions and buffers according to written procedures.
Assists with Stability Studies.
Sets up testing assays as directed.
Assists QC Senior Technician and Supervisor as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.
