Print Quality Manager Job
Work with the four commercial teams in SSM on the broad scale print quality initiative. Total printed beverage packaging category ~$2+B in spend. These categories include cans, paperboard, labels, registered shrink wrap, cups and corrugated. Manage 18 different packaging suppliers print quality programs across 55 producing sites Insure perfect quality on the 3000 changes that occur each year on these packages as well as the 100+ trademarks that are not changed Be a resource to the 100+ bottling plants to insure they are educated on perfect print quality requirements from suppliers Coordinate print quality program across QTG, FLNA and PBNA/PCNA to insure best practices are used from all divisions and quality is consistent across all beverages. Develop best practices via benchmarking leading CPGs companies in the area of print quality Work with SSM Commercial teams, packaging suppliers, R&D, Marketing and Operations to implement these best practices. Develop and maintain a third party auditing program to supplement supplier quality programs Lead the print quality efforts with all 18 packaging suppliers. Maintain internal data base with all supplier data in order to track trends and proactively manage issues. Ensure consistency in QA/QC procedures in the print quality and across the supply base through the identification of key metrics and the maintenance of ongoing scorecards for each printed packaging industry Develop standard procedures for QA/QC for incoming inspection for packaging materials at bottling plants. Work with PCNA/PBNA operations to implement Work with cross functional teams in Manufacturing, R&D, and Marketing to develop and implement packaging specifications and QC/QA procedures across the entire value chain, including suppliers plants, in order to significantly improve the quality and on-shelf execution of our beverage packaging. Proactively train creative agencies and internal graphics design group to insure new graphics meet system capability and can meet quality standards ongoing Develop robust and standardized QA/QC procedures and standards for beverage packaging suppliers Develop appropriate measurement tools and processes to monitor, report and improve supplier delivered print quality Develop enhanced methods to specify and measure print quality Liaise with marketing to ensure expectations are met in new printing innovations.
