The scope of QA oversight includes MOX site, Contractor, and Supplier/Vendor activities. Travel is required. Evaluate and monitor work activities to ensure compliance with Regulatory requirements, MOX QA Program, Supplier QA Program and Design / Procurement Specifications, as well as, the overall achievement of quality. Advise MOX Management on matters relating to Contractor / Supplier / Vendor ownership for quality assurance, work culture & standards, and their ability to self-identify and correct problems and non-conforming conditions. Perform detailed problem analysis and performance trending. Represent the MOX Project Management to reinforce contractual requirements, provide recommendations relative to solutions to technical and quality problems. Recommend “Stop Work” or further processing, delivery, or installation or other comparable actions when warranted to control and/or prevent the use of nonconforming materials or continuance of activities adverse to quality. Ensure identification, tracking, trending and timely resolution of findings / non-conformances / deficiencies and evaluate the effectiveness of actions. Required Qualifications: The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline. The position requires a minimum of four years QA related experience, and two years nuclear industry experience. The candidate has Qualifications or the capability to be qualified as a Lead Auditor. Must have a working knowledge of the quality assurance program and practices; the ability to analyze management processes and identify problems; ability to communicate and influence effective resolution; a working knowledge of upper tier external and internal codes & standards which govern nuclear facility activities (i.e., 10CRF’s, Regulator Guides, ANSI Standards, ASME NQA-1, QAP). Experience interfacing with Suppliers / Vendors, Senior Project Management and regulatory agencies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Department of Energy is desirable. Must possess effective verbal and written communications skills, make executive presentations, and possess proficient computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel) and the ability to prepare formal detailed reports.Desired Qualifications: (include desired certifications and/or desired education qualifications): Internal/external audit experience, preferably as a certified lead auditor. Supervisory or management experience. Familiarity with project planning and monitoring tools and techniques to optimize resource utilization. Root Cause Training / Certification· Quality Control experience or previous certifications. QA Vendor Audit / Surveillance / Inspection experience. Experience in the construction or major modifications of nuclear facilities. Procurement related experience.
