Position Summary
Supervise and maintain all aspects and systems of production that relate to Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control. QA Supervisor?s primary focus will be centered on maintaining a presence on the production floor in order to ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with company quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Sampling of raw materials, in-line, and finished products for analysis.
2. Microbiological, physiochemical, and sensory analyses of samples.
3. Acceptance/rejection of raw materials and packaging on receipt.
4. Communication to all respective departments of non-conforming raw materials and finished product holds.
5. Hygiene audits in and around the plant and reporting findings.
6. Sanitation audits of the plant to determine effectiveness of cleaning and suitability of equipment for daily production.
7. Data entry and general maintenance of QA Database and various testing logs.
8. Training of personnel in GMP and monitoring employee adherence to the GMP policy.
9. Validation of all production paperwork for product being produced.
10. Assisting production supervisors in obtaining correct paperwork when deficient.
11. Maintaining/Updating specification files (raw materials, packaging, etc).
12. Daily validation of production scale(s) function and accuracy.
13. Calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of the respective documents.
14. Assists with related special projects as required.
