We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician located in Kansas City, KS. The QA Technician administers, coordinates and performs activities ensuring the highest level of quality for produced products. A significant challenge to this position is balancing the highest possible efficient flow of production with the highest possible level of product quality. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor or Food Safety Manager. Some Responsibilities include: •Monitor and evaluate incoming raw materials, production and processing methods. •Monitor all receiving, raw material, in process, and finished product controls and tests as well as knowledgeable of the operation and calibration of testing equipment. •Uses good time management and decision makings skills in order to assist key personnel to resolve or minimize out-of-specification conditions and foreign substance contamination of raw materials, in-process, and finished products through observation, identification, notification, documentation, isolation, audit, and disposition. •Conducts and assists in special projects, trials, or studies as required. •Assists in development, implementation and monitoring of on going food safety program. Maintains various Food Safety (sanitation, quality, pest control, HACCP) data, manuals, documents, and files. •Trains QA Lab Technicians and other personnel as needed. Collects, prepares, and mails various samples. Interacts with vendors and suppliers as required. •Proactively supports all Company needs •A physical presence is required in manufacturing, warehouse, lab and office areas. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. can occur.
