Position Summary:
Support E-Business in increasing testing process effectiveness, adherence/compliance to controls, and improved technology quality. Establish and execute E-Business quality management: process, procedures, and standards and required roles and responsibilities within which E-Business solutions will be developed. Assure quality of process and solutions developed/delivered and compliance with established standards.
Accountabilities:
Ensure the eBusiness testing process is effective, controlled, and consistently practiced.
Identify and implement areas for process and/or documentation improvement.
Provide recommendations on tools and methodologies.
Facilitate a strong understanding of quality standards and good control requirements across E-Business.
Communicate activity supporting alignment with these principles.
Perform as a test lead responsible for developing test strategy and test plan through collaboration with development teams.
Lead project testing execution.
Provide estimates and schedule to achieve the work identified in the plan, and identifies tasks and resources needed.
Ensure resources and environment is in place, and ensure that the test cases and data identified will verify that the solution delivered meets requirements.
Monitor and report results/ status and track identification, facilitate test case or defect prioritization, and ensure resolution of issues/defects during test execution.
Communicate as appropriate to project lead/team members and other project stakeholders.
Ensure required test documents are walked through and approved. Support traceability between test cases and requirements and design.
Support scope management for new requirements identified during testing.
Coordinate action plan for items outstanding when conditionally moving from one phase to another.
Follow process and documentation requirements.
Escalates issues as needed.
May perform test case authoring and/or execution.
Will provide training as needed on testing practices and use of testing tools.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements include:
Musthave an understanding of systems development lifecycle methodology as well as an understanding of TQM and CMM quality principles - lean training or background a plus.
Experience working with SAP and HP (Mercury) testing tools is required.
Proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point and Project.)
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - to include documentation, presentation, and classroom training skills.
Very strong relationship building and "management by influence" skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and take ownership
Must have strong process, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card) is required.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and four years of related experience(Quality Assurance, Software Development), or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, ten years of related experience.
