Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate Company: NewLink Genetics Location: Ames, IA Description: Job Description: NewLink Genetics Corp. a biopharmaceutical company in Ames Iowa, developing novel drugs with the primary focus on cancer. NewLink remains steadfast in its primary focus to take novel treatments through the clinical trials process and to bring products to market. Description: Reviews manufacturing and quality control records, and supporting documentation for internal accuracy, consistency, and conformance with cGMP Issues labels and releases raw materials, reviews and approves related raw material and inventory control records Trains staff on basic processes and procedures Performs line clearance Performs internal auditing and keeps track of the CAPA database Occasionally assists in cleaning of cleanrooms, and removing manufacturing waste of the cleanrooms as needed Assists in change controls Performs other Quality Assurance duties as required Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to details Highly self motivated and flexible Fluent in Microsoft Word, and Excel Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher specializing preferably in biology or other science related fields strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
