Saginaw County Community Action Committee is seeking a Weatherization Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee the Weatherization Assistance Program. This is full-time position with full benefits. Essential Job Duties Inspect framed and mobile homes to determine what Weatherization measures are required to bring the home into compliance with federal, state, and local codes and the Weatherization Assistance Program guidelines and specifications. Ensures that all inspections are performed accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Selects, coordinates and schedules Energy Auditors, Weatherization Crews, and contractual labor to maximize productivity for weatherization projects. Makes periodic inspections of work completed by agency crews and private contractors to ensure proper installation and compliance procedures. Contact state, federal, and utilities officials regarding guidelines for rehabilitation and energy programs. Provides accountability and regular reporting of program and other activities to supervisor. Coordinates purchasing activities and oversee functions including ordering, procuring, receiving, storing, inventory control and distribution of supplies, tools and materials for Weatherization projects. Performs employee performance evaluations and recommends personnel actions. Trains and assists with deployment and oversight of Crews, stressing adherence to performance stands for weatherization work. Maintains agency equipment and vehicles, and keeps applicable records. Maintains working knowledge of DOW, MI DHS Weatherization Office and SCCAC Weatherization Assistance Program. Minimum Required Qualifications Professional and courteous manner, and an ability to work harmoniously with other employees and the general public. Thorough knowledge of construction codes, tools, materials and inventory control procedures. Ability to supervise crews and assess requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must have a valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record. Thorough knowledge of DHS-WPPM, TWP and OSHA requirements, weatherization, construction codes, tools, materials and inventory control procedures. Experience and Training High school diploma or equivalent plus at least two years specialized training in all phases of construction/remodeling, equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade. Must hold or be able to obtain Department of Energy-approved Auditor/Inspector certification. Three years experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
