The primary responsibilities for this position include: lead data quality management activities and deliverables; serve as a front line deputy assisting the KCTN Director, to ensure quality operations and services of Coordinating Center; apply clinical research expertise to guide and perform quality review of central study documents and activities and serve as Lead Project Coordinator on assigned projects; and participate on study teams and provide guidance utilizing applied knowledge of ethical principles, CFR, GCP and KCTN standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: communication; analysis; judgment and decision-making; research and professional knowledge; initiative; and teamwork. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years experience in clinical research and certification in clinical research or project management from a nationally recognized organization.

This is a key position that works closely with Production, Customer Service, Warehouse, Purchasing and Quality Managers.
It requires extensive knowledge and experience in HACCP, GMP, AIB and general management and enforcement of modern Q/A techniques and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
? Develops, orients, trains and enforces Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
? Manages, trains and develops the Quality Assurance technicians.
? Identifies and resolves problems, completes audits, determines system improvements, and initiates and implements corrective actions.
? Oversees food safety programs through ingredients controls and storage policies, including purchasing specifications, incoming inspection procedures, equipment cleaning and sanitation procedures, as well as schedules, personnel sanitation procedures and training, and time-temperature inspection methods and schedules.
? Develops food safety plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures as well as monitoring inventories.
? Establishes food quality documentation by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
? Maintains and improves product quality by investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
? Prepares food quality reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
? Complies with federal, state, and local regulations by studying existing and new regulations, anticipating regulations, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
? Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in food quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
? Enhances departmental and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
