This includes verifying the interaction between the parts, the proper integration of all components of the product, all requirements have been correctly implemented, as well as identifying and ensuring defects are addressed prior to the deployment of the product. The Test/Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will be responsible for an objective assessment of the software product based on appropriate criteria, real, and perceived quality, conformance to standards and defect discovery, with a view of enabling developers, managers, and customers to make good corrective decisions. The Test/QA Manager will be responsible for assuring and/or controlling the composite of material attributes, including performance features and characteristics of the system, product or service described in the project’s scope documentation, by adopting a “quality” approach that focuses on “Fitness for purpose” and “Customer satisfaction”. This includes defining quality grade and conformance as it applies to both project management and technological processes. The Incumbent will play a vital role in the successful creation of the project’s product and delivery of “customer satisfaction”. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Be familiar with similar products, their scope, complexity, and typical functionality.Provide technical expertise in terms of testing the selected technology, architecture, programming, and documentation.Develop and manage test policies, criteria, and procedures.Develop or acquire testing processes and software.Identify testing requirements.Develop testing strategy.Develop product test plans.Identify testing resources required.Perform workload analysis performance testing.Review and assess test coverage.Follow test plans and test to ensure software behaves as specified.Capture, analyze, and summarize results (defects) and make recommendations.Sign off on certified quality to a given standard.Understand the requirements of the project’s technological scope, its required functionality, and required quality grade.Become familiar with the latest standards associated with the project’s technology in terms of availability, constructability, maintainability, operability, reliability, and usability.Develop quality assurance, inspection or control program or plan covering the management, evolution and production of the project’s product for the project manager’s approval.Ensure that appropriate quality policies and procedures are in place.Interface with the customer and/or users to establish a strategy for organizing and coordinating planned and systematic assurance and controls.Where a significant amount of repetitive testing is involved, conduct and report statistical or similar analyses and trend charts.Establish options and immediate actions where results of observations are not acceptable.Provide advice and guidance on quality-related issues when and where appropriate.
