Job Title: Int. Safety Engineer Company: Fairchild Semiconductor Location: West Jordan, UT Description: The successful candidate will: Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local safety codes and regulations, as well as corporate safety policies. Develop, implement and maintain safety programs. Participate on site ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 management teams. Oversee the site industrial hygiene program and works closely with the training department to assure that required safety training is complete. The individual must also be able to wear a respirator and participate on the Emergency Response Teams. Furthermore, the individual filling this position will also ensure the site senior management is aware of safety issues and provide direction and recommendations regarding such issues. Experience: The individual filling this role must have the ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Strong organization and communication skills are a must. In depth understanding of regulatory compliance regarding safety. Knowledge of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18k. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus. 1-3 years of related experience is required. Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. **This position is temporary in nature and expected to be for a period of 18 months, with possible extension.
