Job Title: Safety Engineer - PRA/Nuclear/PSA 50-70 $/hr Company: THINK ENERGY GROUP Location: Jackson, MS Description: An engineering client is seeking a PRA Engineer for a 3 to 6 month contract assignment at its offices in Jackson, MS. Will assess safety of nuclear power facilities using Probabilistic Risk Assessment tools, under NFPA 805 . Mobilization, demobilization, and per diem are available for the right candidate. Responsibilities Use your experience in Probabilistic Risk Assessment ( PRA ) to lead the assessment of the safety of proposed and currently operating commercial nuclear power plants Use PRA tools such as fault trees, human reliability analysis ( HRA ), common cause failure analysis ( CCFA ), and other tools Prepare computer code input and data analysis and perform PRA computer modeling, interpret the results, and prepare reports Present the results to clients and regulators Requirements BS in Engineering Demonstrated experience in commercial nuclear power operations At least 5 years experience in PRA Experience with PRA computer models such as SAPHIRE, CAFTA, RISKMAN, Risk Spectrum, etc Must have recent Fire PRA and NFPA 805 transition experience Benefits Per diem and mobilization/demobilization are available Paid Vacation 401K Health Insurance, and more...
