Job Title: Failure Analysis Engineer Company: Intel Corporation Location: Hillsboro, OR Description: As a Failure Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for identifying and researching from Si process component failures to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Evaluates the electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, sub-components, and systems to determine the root cause of failure. - Understanding of MOS device physics, basic device characterization methods and/or hands-on experiences with ULSI fabrication processes.- Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems. - Uses various analytical techniques such as transmission electron microscopy and chemical analysis to obtain key information to pinpoint the root-cause of the issues encountered during development or manufacturing- Support cross-site problem-solving and technology transfer and startup and the automation- Enable core FA capabilities needed to support advanced technology and/or product development. May necessitate the development of improved/new tools and methods.- Collaborating with device and process development engineers to determine the relationship of materials properties to electrical performance and other Quality/Reliability Engineers to assist in risk assessment.
