ObjectiveThis position is a Sector Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for the Industrial Technologies Sector of Ingersoll Rand. This position exists to drive Lean Six Sigma tools into high impact projects focused on eliminating variation/defects/waste and to deliver annual Lean Six Sigma goals for the sector and the facility assigned to.Principle Responsibilities- Work on projects tied to critical value streams: Assess and map current state, initiate and execute projects to achieve future state Lean Six Sigma objectives- Complete approximately 3-4 transformational projects annually, delivering $1 million in productivity savings- Mentor 4-5 green belt candidates per year from project creation through completion, delivering a minimum of $40k in savings per project- Conduct a minimum of 16 hours of LSS training- Own the development of the project pipeline for the facility.- Lead three high level process and/or cross sector Kaizens each year- Support the sector from a LSS perspective as requiredScope and Dimensions- Support a $X+ million per year, X+ employee manufacturing facility- Potential opportunities to collaborate with other sites across the sector and enterprise- The Southern Pines management team as well as IR in general, is passionate about Lean Six Sigma and its effective implementation to drive business performanceProblem Solving- Example #1: Your sector is losing $1.5 million per year in metal scrap and is not aware of a potential fix/improvement. This role would need to analyze affected facilities in the sector to understand the problem, determine root causes, develop and implement a solution, and sustain improvements in excess of $200K- Example #2: The facility’s inventory turns are below objective level. Prioritize and map critical value streams to identify project opportunities and execute projects to achieve inventory improvement objectives inside current plan yearPercentage of Travel:20Min. Yrs. Experience:5Education Standard:BS/MSEducation Type:Engineering/Management Knowledge- Minimum B.S. degree in Mfg Engineering, Operations or Business- Masters Degree in Mfg Engineering, Operations or Business preferred- Min. Yrs.
