Job Title: Six Sigma Black Belt - Process Engineer Company: Location: New York City, ny Description: MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEERS SIX SIGMA BLACKBELTS Elmira, NY area DUTIES: · Lead Six Sigma process improvement projects cradle to grave. · Evaluate baseline performance of processes and measurement systems. · Developing and deploying new measurement tools to characterize process performance. · Apply KT problem solving approach to specify problems, identify possible causes of defect and process related issues, develop and evaluate possible causes to get at most probable cause. · Identification of key variables driving quality defects, process and measurement variation. · Planning and execution of design of experiments to develop process windows for key process variables and equipment setup. · Development and implementation of control strategies including documentation, training and SPC control charting systems. · Planning and execution of experimentation to test and implement solutions to reduce process variation and improve quality. · Support DMAIC Six Sigma projects as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. REQUIREMENTS: · 4 year degree-Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic engineering background · Knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes and equipment and measurement systems and controls. · Experience with identifying and troubleshooting process, equipment and quality issues · Must have demonstrated skills to apply and lead KT problem analysis sessions. · Experience with high temperature thermal processes preferred (ie: Melting, Forming, Kilns or Furnaces). · Lean Black Belt Certified with Lean Six Sigma project experience. · Mechanical engineering skills to improve existing equipment and design, procure ,install, test and debug equipment improvement options. · Experience with designing and executing experimentation, coordination of experiments. · Strong oral and written communication skills, experience presenting data and project presentations to engineering and production teams.
