This person has experience leading others and facilitating cross-functional problem solving teams. He/she is well versed on the DMAIC methodology, six sigma, and lean concepts in a transactional (primarily) and production environment (secondarily). He/she is a leader, teacher and mentor to project teams.This person supports the strategy of six sigma deployments, facilitates problem solving activities, reports /tracks regularly the progress, milestones, savings, and other key aspects of projects that are active. Aid the Program Manager in addressing quality issues using problem solving methodologies to drive results. He/she will also assist the management team with selecting appropriate projects which support the overall organizational strategic objectives. Other responsibilities include DMAIC training, kaizen and team facilitation, presenting at companywide sessions on projects, and effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing projects. ·        Drives LEAN/DMAIC integration and implementation ·        Provides expert mentoring and assistance to teams and individuals in using LEAN/DMAIC tools in the areas of process optimization, high level problem solving, and data analysis. ·        Coaches program team and individuals in scoping projects in-line with problem complexity. ·        Ensures rigor in project execution, phase deliverables and timing, provides phase sign-off. ·        Establishes LEAN/DMAIC deployment plan for their assigned project that supports Corporate Quality’s goals. ·        Develops training strategies and tools, organizes and delivers training, as needed, especially in a ‘just-in-time’ format. ·        Develops best practices guidelines and process documents, delivers best practice sharing sessions. ·        Leads and works on high level cross-functional and high impact projects. ·        Builds and evaluates infrastructures such as critical requirement management, modeling & simulation tools etc. ·        Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve business goals. ·        Strong leadership, negotiation, influence, consultation, and facilitation skills. ·        Interpersonal and coaching skills, with exceptional and active communications skills.        Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, as well as industrial engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering preferred. Advanced degree is a plus. Documented completion of DMAIC Training or Black Belt Certification.·        5+ years experience managing teams, experience effectively managing direct reports desirable. ·        A minimum of 4 years experience using the LEAN and DMAIC methodology with proven record of results. This also includes the use of ANOVA, MSA, DOE, MVDA, modeling, comparison testing tools. ·        Minimum of 3 years experience driving transactional improvements. ·        Minimum of 3 Years experience facilitating problem solving groups and utilizing quality tools (DMAIC, PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, 5 Whys  etc.). ·        Certified Black Belt from recognizable source.·        Alternative to Transactional Candidates: Minimum 3 years experience deploying lean manufacturing (5S, standard work, set up reduction, mistake proofing, Kaizen, value stream mapping, etc.) ·        Experience in GMP, ISO 9001:2000 experience, Federal Drug Administration experience is a plus. Experience desirable in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry is preferred. ·        Advanced PC skills such as MS Office, process mapping software, Minitab. ·        Experience in a batch production environment is a plus. ·        Must have strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills along with knowledge of manufacturing processes, re-engineering strategies, and continuous improvement activities. Must be able to train others and work with employees on all levels.
